Farmers Parliament (LATVIA); EPLEFPA-CDFA&CFPPA (FRANCE); Consortium CONFAO - National Consortium for Vocational Training, Up-grading, Training and Vocational Guidance (ITALY); State Education Centre (SEC) subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science Republic of Latvia (LATVIA); Foundation for Culture and Ecology (ROMANIA) and Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry (SLOVENIA). These partners are vocational and agriculture life-long education and consulting institutions, professional associations, a governmental body and non-governmental organizations with experience in the agriculture sector, as well as development and implementation of VET and life-long training programmes.
Farmers Parliament (FP) is the strongest NGO of market oriented farmers in Latvia. FP has extensive experience in public relations, lobbying and developing and providing education and information services to the farming community. FP is also actively involved in the development of the VET system in the agriculture sector, as well as the regulatory legislative framework for rural entrepreneurship.
The CFPPA/CDFA of Sainte Livrade sur Lot (France) is a training and vocational education centre for adults and apprenticeship with 310 students, 340 apprentices and approximately 150 adult learners. CFPPA/CDFA provides education primarily oriented on agricultural production, horticulture for fruits and vegetables, landscaping and food processing industries.
CONFAO (Italy) is a National Consortium for Vocational Training, Up-grading, Training and Vocational Guidance uniting many different higher secondary education institutions and vocational training centres. CONFAO collects a significantly representative part of the VET system and has strong support by the associated institutions in line with the changing environment of higher education, since its role is to help them managing the challenging innovation and reform processes. Beyond initiatives directed to provide incentives for University and tertiary training pathways, coherent with both post-compulsory vocational training, as well as qualitative requirements of the entrepreneurial world, CONFAO has a wider objective aiming to support the associated institutions in their commitment to raise the quality of human resources in order to face the challenges of life-long learning. CONFAO currently includes 64 institutions (public secondary high schools and private vocational training centres).
State Education Centre (SEC) is public institution subordinated to the Ministry of Education
and Science Republic of Latvia. The main activities are: to organize development,
approbation and improvement of curriculum for basic education, general secondary
education and vocational education; to develop proposed standards of general
education, vocational education and teaching learning programmes; to organize
and to develop national examination system, to provide the administration of
centralized examinations in general education and vocational education.
Foundation for Culture and Ecology (Romania) keeps an agriculture farm promoting organic agricultural production through courses and vocational training for young people. For this purpose the farm of 35 ha with milking cows, cereals, vegetables, herbs and spices, and soft fruit operates, production includes processing cheese, bread, gem, ketchup, tea and spices, as well as marketing and networking programs are in place.
Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia is the umbrella organization, covering all natural persons and legal entities in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fishing in the Republic of Slovenia. The Chamber's main objective is to protect and represent their interests, advise them and promote economically efficient and environmentally safe activities.
